Program Information
The ELD Summer Academy is for students who will be enrolled in an ELD 1, 2 or 3 course in the upcoming Fall 2013 semester. This 4-week course is an opportunity to enrich the students' English language development and to prepare for the regular-year ELD course they are about to take. Attendance Policy
Attendance in summer school is mandatory to earn credit. Students must attend the first day of summer school to keep placement or they will be dropped. In addition, absences and tardies will be counted. Missing more than two (2) days of a summer school class during a three-week session for any reason will result in the student being dropped from the class with NO credit and a “W” on the transcript. Consequently, arriving late to class three (3) times will equal one (1) absence. Please keep summer school dates in mind when making vacation plans.
