Lynbrook High School Final EIR - March 2012
The Final Environmental Impact Reports (FEIR) for the proposed track and fields improvement and lighting projects for Lynbrook High School has been completed and is now available. The FEIR consists of the following documents (which can be found on the right):

2. December 2010 Amendment to the Draft Environmental Impact Report
3. January 2012 Draft Recirculated Environmental Impact Report (Draft REIR)
4. March 2012 Amendment to the Draft Recirculated Environmental Impact Report
Draft Recirculated EIR
On December 16, 2010, the District's Board of Trustees certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (Final EIR) for the Lynbrook High School Sports Fields Improvements and Lighting project and approved the Reduced Use and Light Levels alternative of this project.
A case was brought to the Santa Clara County Superior Court arguing that the EIR did not comply with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). On November 30, 2011, the Court directed the District to reconsider their earlier decisions after appropriate CEQA review.
The District chose to comply with the Court’s direction by preparing a Draft Recirculated Environmental Impact Report (Draft REIR) which addresses those sections of the EIR that required reconsideration under the Court’s findings.
The Draft REIR is available at the links to the right. The Draft REIR is also available for review on-site at the Fremont Union High School District Office at 589 West Fremont Avenue, Sunnyvale CA 94087.
We encourage you to review the Draft REIR and submit your comments. In order to be included in the formal REIR review process, your written comments must be received at the Fremont Union High School District Office by 5:00 p.m. on March 2, 2012.

Board of Trustees Action
The Board of Trustees of the Fremont Union High School District, at their December 16, 2010 meeting, certified that the Draft Environmental Impact Report (“EIR”) and the Amendment to the Draft EIR have been properly prepared in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and that together, these two documents form the Final EIR for the Sports Fields Improvements and Lighting Project at Lynbrook High School.
In addition, the Board adopted the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the Lynbrook High School Sports Fields Improvements and Lighting Project. The Board also selected and approved the Reduced Use and Light Levels Alternative Project for Lynbrook High School.
