"By taking on this position, I knew I had a chance to show how students can truly make a difference. It doesn't matter what age, race, or GPA someone has; making a difference in the community and especially in schools is an awesome thing. I want to help widen the views of all the students in our District to not only show that we are all the same, but we're also different. Little do we know it, but we are all reaching for the same thing in life — to be successful and happy. Now we just need to realize how many connections and opportunities we have by knowing one another."
During her first three years in high school, Aubrey was part of FYO (Filipino Youth Organization), Key Club, CSF (California Scholarship Federation) and served as Historical Commissioner in ASB. But mostly, Aubrey has been dedicated to the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program. She says that not only have her AVID classmates become her best friends, but also her "adopted siblings."
