VISIONARY GOAL #3: PARTNERSHIPS WITH PARENTS AND COMMUNITY
The District and its schools work closely with parents, community groups, businesses, service organizations, PTA's, and the Fremont Union High Schools Foundation. With these groups as partners, we share a common mission of success for all students. As we ensure success for our students, we benefit and contribute to the welfare of our families and the entire community.

TARGET OBJECTIVES FOR 2005-2006:

  • Introduce system-wide use of Internet/websites to provide all parents with daily updates of student assignments, quizzes, and tests
  • Develop District Advisory Committee comprised of parent group leaders and other community group leaders
  • Sharpen strategies to reach out to under-represented families
  • Increase visibility of site administrators in the community
  • Continue to enhance translation services
  • Restructure Teens with Tots program
  • Establish separate daycare program for employees
  • Revise Field Trip Policy and work with staff and booster groups to assure a positive transition to new procedures

PROGRESS IN MEETING OBJECTIVES IN 2004-2005:

  • Improved communication through District Communication Workshop
  • Expanded residency information, handbooks, parent forms, grade notification including translations
  • Participated in a wide variety of community events
  • Forged partnerships with feeder districts and community throughout the Parcel Tax campaign and successful election
  • Secured support of District's staff and the community's understanding of the District's need for additional funding during Parcel Tax campaign
  • Established relationship with the City of Cupertino addressing and understanding the effect of the City's growth as it impacts the District
